Writing a great application is only part of the journey. Once your bid is ready, you need to submit it to the funder.

Here’s how to do it properly:

1. Go to the funder’s website

On the grant page in Fundin, click the “More Info” button. This will open the funder’s official webpage.

Double-check the funder's deadline and any specific submission instructions before starting.

2. Find the submission method

Every funder has a different process. You’ll usually need to either:

  • Log in or register on an online portal

  • Download an application form (Word or PDF)

  • Complete a web-based form directly on their site

  • Email the completed application to a specified address

Take your time navigating this. Some funders bury the details across multiple pages.

3. Copy your draft from Fundin

Once you’ve located the application form:

  • Open your drafted application in Fundin

  • Copy and paste each answer into the correct section of the form

  • Reformat if necessary (some funders have strict word counts or formatting rules)

  • Attach any required documents (e.g., accounts, budgets, governing documents)

This can take 5–30 minutes per submission depending on how complex the funder’s process is.

4. Final checks and submit

Before sending off your application:

  • Double-check all responses are pasted correctly

  • Make sure all attachments are included

  • Review any declarations, terms or submission checklists

  • Submit the form or email the funder

  • Update the application status in Fundin

If an email confirmation is expected, be sure to save it for your records.
