How we write your applications

How our AI and bid writers work together to write your grant applications.

Every application we write combines the speed of AI with the expertise of an experienced bid writer.

Neither works alone — the result is a draft that is accurate, compelling, and tailored to the specific funder.

Step 1 — AI generates the first draft

Once a grant has been added to your pipeline, our AI gets to work. It draws on everything you have provided — your campaign information, organisation profile, uploaded documents, and saved responses — to generate the first draft.

This typically covers around 40-60% of the application. The AI handles structure, pulls in relevant evidence, and aligns your work to the funder's criteria.

💡 Tip. The more complete your campaign and organisation profile, the stronger the AI's first draft will be. Uploaded impact reports, case studies, and testimonials make a significant difference.

Step 2 — Your bid writer takes over

Your bid writer then reviews and builds on the AI draft. They refine the language, strengthen the case for funding, fill in any gaps, and make sure the application is the best it can be before it reaches you.

This is not a light-touch check — your bid writer actively improves the application, bringing their knowledge of what funders are looking for and how to present your work in the strongest possible way.

Step 3 — We may need more information

Occasionally more information is needed to complete the application. When this happens, our AI may reach out directly to gather what is needed. You can respond conversationally and your answers are fed straight into the draft, saving time.

If you would prefer to speak to a person at any point, your bid writer is always available. Your bid writer reviews everything before the application reaches you, regardless of how the information was gathered.

🔵 Info: Try to respond to any information requests same day where possible. Delays at this stage can affect how quickly the draft reaches you for review.

Step 4 — Ready for your review

Once your bid writer is happy with the application, it is sent to you for review. You will receive an email notification and have the opportunity to read through, leave feedback, and approve it for submission.

You can expect your draft to be ready within five working days of the grant being confirmed in your pipeline.
