What your bid writer does

Understanding the role of your bid writer and how they support your organisation.

Every Fundin client has a dedicated bid writer. They are responsible for the quality of your applications and are your main point of contact for anything related to your grants.

What they are responsible for

Your bid writer oversees every application we write on your behalf.

Specifically they:

  • Review every AI draft — before any application reaches you, your bid writer has read it, improved it, and made sure it meets the funder's requirements.

  • Align applications to funder criteria — they understand what different funders are looking for and make sure your application speaks directly to their priorities.

  • Manage your pipeline — they keep your pipeline moving, identify new opportunities, and make sure deadlines are met.

  • Respond to your feedback — when you leave comments on a draft, your bid writer reviews them and makes the necessary changes before sending it back to you.

  • Keep you informed — if they need more information or there is anything you need to know about an application, they will get in touch directly.

How to contact your bid writer

You can reach your bid writer by email or WhatsApp. For straightforward questions you can also chat with our AI, which has full context on your account and applications.

If you need a human, just ask and your bid writer will pick it up.

You will also have a regular monthly check-in call with your bid writer.

Your bid writer works across a number of clients, so they may not always respond immediately. For urgent queries, WhatsApp is usually the quickest way to get a response.

What they are not responsible for

Your bid writer writes and submits applications on your behalf — but the information that goes into them comes from you. The quality of your campaigns, organisation profile, and supporting documents directly affects the quality of what we can produce.

💡 Tip. Think of your bid writer as an expert in your corner. The more context you give them about your organisation and priorities, the better they can represent you to funders.
