Setting up your organisation profile

How to complete your organisation profile and why it matters for the quality of your applications

Your organisation profile is one of the most important things you will complete during onboarding.

It is the foundation we use to write every application on your behalf — the more complete and detailed it is, the stronger your bids will be.

You can find your profile under Library in the left-hand menu.

🔴 Important: Applications will not begin until your onboarding is complete. Completing your profile in full during onboarding means we can get started as quickly as possible.

About

This is the core of your profile. Tell us about your organisation, your mission, and who you support.

  • About your organisation — describe what you do and why. Think of this as your elevator pitch. What makes your organisation distinctive and what impact do you have? (250 words max)

  • People supported — describe who benefits from your work. Be specific about the groups you support and the challenges they face. (250 words max)

Financials

Include your financial information here. Funders routinely ask about your income, expenditure, and reserves, so having this up to date means we can answer those questions accurately in every application

Strategy

Add information about your organisation's strategic priorities and plans. This helps us align applications to your direction of travel, not just your current activities.

Governance

Upload your core organisational documents here. These are requested by funders as part of their due diligence process, so having them in place means we are never held up waiting for paperwork.

Core documents to upload:

  • Articles of Association (for CICs and charitable companies)

  • Constitution (for CIOs or unincorporated charities)

  • Latest published accounts (ideally two years)

  • Core policies, including Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Equality Diversity & Inclusion, Financial Controls, and Data Protection / GDPR

Documents

Upload your key organisational documents here. This is the most important section.

💡 Tip: The documents that make the biggest difference are impact reports, case studies, testimonials, and evaluations. If you have them, upload them — our AI uses these to evidence the need and impact of your work in applications.

Accepted file types: PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, PNG, JPG (max 50MB each)

Persona

This is where we capture your organisation's tone of voice and writing style.

See How we reflect your organisation's voice for more detail on this

Saved responses

As we write applications together, we build up a library of strong answers to common funder questions. These are stored here and reused across future applications, saving time and improving consistency.

Notes/ Funder restrictions

If there are any funders you are unable to apply to — for example where you already hold an active award — please let your bid writer know directly or add a note in the Notes tab. This helps us avoid wasting time on applications you are not eligible for.
