The stages
Favourites
Grants you've favourited from your matches but haven't started yet. See Building your Pipeline for how to add to and manage this list.
In progress
On Starter and Growth, once you've chosen a grant and clicked Apply Now, it sits here while the AI generates the first draft. On Managed, this is where your bid writer is working on a draft for you.
To review
Your draft is ready. On Starter and Growth, this is the stage that needs action from you — read it, edit it, and approve it when you're happy. See Drafting bids for how the AI puts a draft together. On Managed, review your bid writer's draft here and leave comments if you'd like anything changed — see How to leave a comment or request changes.
🔵 Info: Applications in this stage may show an alert such as "Info required" if something is missing before it can move on.
Submission
Once you've approved a draft, it moves here. You submit it yourself directly to the funder, on every plan.
Outcome
Once submitted, the application waits here for a decision. You'll see one of three statuses:
Submitted — sent to the funder, awaiting a decision
Won — the application was successful
Lost — unsuccessful this time
Recording an outcome
When you hear back from a funder, open the application in your pipeline and click Mark as Won or Mark as Lost. If successful, you can add the amount awarded so your funding totals stay up to date.
💡 Tip: Keep this up to date even for grants you drafted a while ago — it's what keeps your matched grants and reporting accurate.
