Getting started on Starter

How onboarding, drafting, and support work on Starter, Fundin's fully self-serve plan.

Starter is Fundin's self-serve plan — there's no dedicated bid writing expert, and you handle campaigns, drafting, and submitting entirely yourself. This article walks through what to expect.

Getting set up

After you start your trial, you set up your organisation profile yourself — see Setting up your Bid Library — and add your first campaign, see Creating a Campaign. There's no 1:1 onboarding call on Starter — everything you need is in this help centre, and our weekly group call is there if you get stuck.

Your weekly support call

Every week, we run a group call open to all Starter customers. It covers onboarding questions for anyone just getting started, plus general support for anything you're working through — there's no need to book a slot, just join. It's the main way to get help beyond the help centre, since Starter doesn't include a named point of contact by email or WhatsApp.

Drafting and submitting applications

Once you're matched to a grant, you draft your application yourself using the AI bid writer — see Drafting bids. Starter includes 10 AI bid writer credits a month, each one covering one full application draft.

There's no human review included on Starter, so you review your own draft before submitting — see Reviewing and submitting bids for what to check. You then submit it yourself directly to the funder, the same as on any Fundin plan.

Monitoring your applications

Reporting and monitoring tools are included on Starter, so you can track your pipeline and report on outcomes the same way as any other Fundin customer — see Understanding your pipeline.

Want more support?

If you'd like a dedicated bid writing expert, unlimited AI credits, and human-reviewed applications each month, you can move to Managed at any time. See Understanding your plan, or email [email protected].
